Motor Vehicle Collision
On the 25th of January 2022, at 10:33 am the Belleville Police Service were dispatched to the area of Gilbert Street Belleville, Ontario for reports of a recycling truck hitting a pedestrian. The male struck by the vehicle was transported to Kingston General Hospital by ambulance for what is being described as serious injuries. The Gilbert Street Belleville, Ontario area was closed for several hours as the Belleville Police Service Traffic Management Unit processed the scene. The investigation into the incident is still under investigation. Public Assistance
The Belleville Police Service would like the public’s assistance regarding a traffic related incident that occurred on the 15th of January 2022 near the Norris Whitney Bridge. Belleville Police would like to speak to the driver of a (picture attached) Ford Expedition four door black SUV regarding this incident. The vehicle has very large and unique mud flaps attached to the rear bumper. Liquor License Act
On the 25th of January, 2022, at approximately 11:15 pm, the Belleville Police responded to a call in the east end regarding an unwanted and intoxicated male in a residence. Once close to the area, officers located the male on the side of the road in a physical altercation with another party. The male failed to identify himself and was extremely intoxicated by alcohol. As a result, the male was arrested for his and the public’s safety. The male was later released upon sobering and issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor License and Control Act.
