Police seized 1.5 kilograms of cocaine and arrested two people as part of a Project Renewal investigation.
Members of Project Renewal with the assistance of the Belleville Police Service Emergency Response Team, K9 Unit and OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed a search warrant Thursday at a Station Street address in Belleville where they seized the cocaine along with a loaded .9mm handgun and more than $12,000 cash.
Two males were arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges.
Twenty-eight-year-old Brandon Bourgeois of Belleville faces a dozen charges:
1. Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking
2. Proceeds of crime over $5000
3. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
4. Two counts of Knowledge of unauthorized prohibited device
5. Firearm – knowledge of unauthorized possession
6. Three counts of Weapon – knowledge of unauthorized possession
7. Possession of a loaded or restricted firearm
8. Careless storage of a firearm
9. Contravention of the firearms regulations
10. Weapons Dangerous
11. Possession of a firearm contrary to an order
12. Two counts of Fail to comply with a release order
He was held in custody for a bail hearing Friday.
Ten charges have been laid against 44-year-old Michael Lemire, also from Belleville:
1. Possession of a Controlled Substance
2. Proceeds of crime over $5000
3. Unauthorized possession of a firearm
4. Two counts of Knowledge of unauthorized prohibited device
5. Firearm- knowledge of unauthorized possession
6. Three counts of Weapon- knowledge of unauthorized possession

10. Weapons Dangerous
He was released with a court date of February 14.
