The City of Belleville has recently received just over half a million dollars from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
OLG paid the city $557,505 for hosting Shorelines Casino for the period of October 1 to December 31, 2021.
Since January 2017, Belleville has received more than $11.5 million in non-tax gaming revenue.
Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith says he is happy to see this third quarter payment made to host cities as the funds support programming that makes a difference in the community.
Gaming sites were open in the third quarter with rigorous public health and workplace safety measures, but the continued spread of COVID-19 had an impact on gaming revenues.
