Quinte West council is being asked to approve a new plan which focuses on the low income population.
Last July, council approved and adopted the new Community Safety and Well Being Plan which identified affordable and appropriate housing and mental health and addictions as the priority issues.
During their regular council meeting on Monday night, council will see the mental health and addictions strategies and affordable and appropriate housing strategies to add them to the Community Safety and Well Being Plan.
Staff are asking council to proceed with the development of a municipal housing plan and include any costs in the 2022 operating budget.
