Council in Quinte West is being asked to support a project with Lower Trent Conservation to revitalize a portion of the Trenton Greenbelt Conservation Area.
The project under the Intact Municipal Climate Resilience Fund would be focused on revitalizing the southern section of the Trenton Greenbelt Conservation Area at no cost to the municipality.
Lower Trent Conservation Authority stated the project does not involve any inwater works but will increase flood resiliency and improve stormwater infiltration. The project will incorporate soil rehabilitation and involve naturalization.
