The City of Quinte West is considering lowering the speed on a stretch of Highway 33.
Staff are conducting a speed limit review on the portion of road starting one kilometre east of Stockdale Road and ending just short of Johnstown Road between Trenton and Batawa.
The road is currently marked as an 80km/h area, but staff are asking residents if that should be lowered to 60km/h.

Input from the public will be considered along with a traffic study, data from the OPP, and recommendations from the city’s engineering department.
