One priority moving forward in the new year is building on visitor services in Belleville.
Chamber of Commerce CEO Jill Raycroft told Quinte News about some of the plans for Choose Belleville in the new year.
“So, over the next few weeks, and launching fully in 2022, we’ll see an interactive directory map that will fall underneath ChooseBelleville.ca“
She said that they’re using it as an opportunity to improve promotion of local shopping and that they’re hoping for a strong response from local businesses.
With the amount of pivoting and plan changing in 2021, many organizations took a lot of lessons away due to the pandemic.
Raycroft said that, moving forward, they’re looking at applying the things they learned to their events slated for 2022.
“We usually have three seasonal festivals, one in the winter, one in the spring and one in the fall, and then we also have waterfront and what we would do around July 1 next year is certainly in the works.”
She said they’re looking forward to putting on a great event as it falls on a long weekend Friday, adding that they’re looking forward to applying knowledge based on what worked and what didn’t work in a hectic last year.
