There is officially a declared COVID-19 outbreak at Cobourg’s Northumberland Hills Hospital.
In a press release Monday, representatives of the hospital announced that three staff members in the 2B Medical/Surgical unit have tested positive for the virus.
In coordination with Ministry of Health guidelines the HKPR District Health Unit has declared an outbreak.
According to the release no patient spread has been detected at this time.
Patients and staff identified as being at higher risk of exposure are being monitored and tested and anyone recently discharged from that unit is being contacted.
