Prince Edward County OPP are warning of some scams circulating in the area as the holidays approach.
Police say the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre is warning of fake website selling fraudulent concert tickets at discount prices.
In some cases, according to police, people actually receive tickets only to arrive at the venue and find out that the tickets are fake.
Locally they say that people are reporting receiving calls from people claiming to be booking COVID-19 vaccine booster shots in an attempt to gain access to personal information.
Police are reminding everyone to exercise caution when receiving suspicious phone calls or emails and to not give out personal information online or on the phone unless you are absolutely certain it is legitimate.
