Intoxicated in a Public Place
At approximately 5:45 p.m. on December 8, 2021, Belleville police responded to the area of Marsh Drive regarding a male banging on residential doors and yelling. Police attended the area and located an 18-year-old Belleville male yelling in the street. The male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and was transported to the Belleville Police Service. He was later released on a Provincial Offences Notice.
Breach of Undertaking and Possession of Drugs
At approximately 10:45 p.m. on December 8, 2021, police responded to 291 North Front Street regarding a domesticincident occurring within the lobby of the hotel. Police attended and investigation revealed the male involved, a 34-year-old Belleville resident, was breaching his prior release conditions. The male was arrested for Breach of Undertaking and transported to the Belleville Police Service. Upon searching the male, a small quantity of illegal narcotics was located on his person. As a result, he was further charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance and will later be released with a court date of January 17, 2022.
City police also report a fairly steady 24-hour period responding to 95 calls for service ending at 5:00 a.m. on December 9, 2021.
