Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 54 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.
The health unit does not report on the weekend so Monday’s report includes Saturday and Sunday.
With 37 recoveries that leaves the active case count at 164.
There are currently six people hospitalized with three in the intensive care unit and there are also 20 active outbreaks.
The cases are spread throughout the area with 31 in Belleville, 13 in Quinte West, three in Prince Edward County, four in Centre Hastings and three on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
To date 89% of eligible HPE residents over 12 years old have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while 84% have received two doses.
In Northumberland on Monday, the HKPR District Health Unit reported three new cases with 11 active.
