Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday along with two new outbreaks.
With 27 recoveries there are 147 active cases.
The Public Health dashboard shows 13 of the new cases are fully vaccinated and two partially vaccinated while the other 12 are unvaccinated.
Six of the cases are 11 years of age or younger.
Belleville has the most new cases with 13, while there were four cases each in Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory, Quinte West and Central Hastings.
One case was reported in each of Prince Edward County and North Hastings.
Four people are being treated in hospital with one in the ICU.
Active outbreaks increased to 18 with two new ones declared Thursday at St. Michael Catholic School in Belleville where there are five cases, and a retail workplace in Central Hastings which has three cases.
The seven-day case rate per 100,000 is 67.7.
Eighty-three percent of HPE residents aged five and above have received one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 78% have received two shots.
In the last seven days, 1,806 people rolled up their sleeve for their first shot, 355 received a second dose and 2,316 were given a third shot booster.
In Northumberland Friday, the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported three new cases.
Fourteen are active.
