Trespass to Property Act
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on November 299, 2021, police responded to a business on Dundas Street East regarding an unwanted female. On arrival, police observed a 44-year-old Belleville woman acting out and failing to leave the premises when directed to do so. The female was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service where she is to be released on a Provincial Offences Notice once calm and behaving appropriately.
Break and Enter and Breach of Probation
On November 29, 2021 at 5 p.m., police responded to Haig Road regarding a break and enter. Police investigation revealed the victim’s ex-partner had broken into the victim’s residence damaging a door, spray painting the walls and urinating on the victim’s bed. As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old male was arrested and charged with Break & Enter, Mischief and Breach of Probation. He was released on an undertaking with conditions and given a court date of December 16, 2021 to face the charges. The male’s name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
Single Motor Vehicle Collision
On November 29, 2021 at 10 p.m., police responded to Moira Street West regarding a single motor vehicle that left the roadway. Police attended the area and investigated the incident. The driver of the motor vehicle was issued a roadside breath demand and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. The 68-year-old male was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later issued a three-day suspension and charged with several provincial offences, including careless driving, prior to being released.
