Volunteers are still needed to man the Salvation Army’s kettles in various locations in Belleville as the annual Christmas Kettle Campaign continues.
The campaign raised around $315,000 for the Belleville Salvation Army last season and the goal is the same this year.
The Kettle Campaign provides funding for many of the services the Sally Ann provides throughout the year, including a free, warm supper seven days a week and a food bank.
To volunteer call Valerie at 613-661-7818.
Meanwhile the Army is holding its first ever drive-thru breakfast on Saturday, December 11. A complete hot breakfast will be served and Santa Claus will be available outside waiting to greet children.
The drive-thru breakfast will be held at the Salvation Army Church on Bridge Street West from 10:30 until noon.
Tickets are $15 each and are available at the Community and Family Services building on Pinnacle Street, the church, and Trent Valley Distributors.
All proceeds will go toward the Christmas Kettle Campaign.
