Local COVID-19 case updates aren’t provided on weekends but a look back at last week proves the coronavirus is still very active in the Hastings-Prince Edward.
Between Monday and Friday last week (November 22-26) public health reported a total of 108 new infections in the two counties.
The week ended Friday with 125 active cases in Hastings-Prince Edward and five outbreaks.
There were two people in hospital, neither in intensive care. Since the pandemic began 16 people have died from the disease.
Meanwhile the situation is quite different in Northumberland County where just 13 COVID cases were reported as active.
