Motor Vehicle Collisions
Over the last 24 hour period, Belleville Police Service has dealt with eleven motor vehicle collisions throughout the city. Of the eleven, ten were property damage and one had minor injuries. Several drivers and one pedestrian were charged with Highway Traffic Act Offences. Police remind drivers to be cautious as we reach the winter driving season.
Warrants
On November 22, 2021 at 12:39 p.m., Belleville police were called to North Front Street for reports of a female in medical distress. The female was taken to Belleville General Hospital for medical treatment. A male accompanying the female, forty-year-old Belleville resident Michael Juby was determined to be wanted on warrants for fail to attend court and fail to attend for finger prints. As a result, Juby was arrested and later released with a court date of December 20, 2021.
Breach of Probation
On November 22, 2021 a thirty-three-year-old male currently on a prohibition order to not be within 500 metres of a complainant’s residence was caught on video surveillance in contravention of that order. The male was contacted by Belleville police and later turned himself in. The male was held for a show cause hearing on November 23, 2021. The name of the male is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
