On November 15, 2021, staff of East Side Secondary School Belleville, received information that a male had attended the school with a firearm and was currently at the bus stop.
Police attended the area and located the male in front of the school.
The male, a 17-year-old Shannonville resident, was arrested and subsequently charged with Obstruct Police and Uttering Threats to cause bodily harm.
A search of the male and a further search of the area by K9 revealed no firearm.
The 17-year-old male was held for a show cause hearing on November 16, 2021.
In compliance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of the youth is not being released.
