The Docs By The Bay program for physician recruitment and retention in the Bay of Quinte received a large boost to help exposure for Brighton.
On Monday outside the Brighton Health Services Centre members of the Brian Todd Memorial Community Fund presented a cheque in the amount of $20,000 to the Docs by the Bay.
The grant will allow Docs By The Bay to increase exposure for the community of Brighton and its opportunities for physicians through advertising and medical school career days.
In the past two years the program has successfully recruited two physicians, one to the Lakeview Family Health Team and one who took over the practice of retired physician Dr. Arlene McIntyre, to the Brighton area.
