Belleville police are asking that witnesses to a late Sunday afternoon collision come forward with information.
Shortly after 4 o’clock a vehicle left Old Highway 2 and veered into a ditch, hitting a pole, near Point Anne.
The driver, who wasn’t injured, was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance and using plates not belonging to the vehicle and other Highway Traffic Act charges.
The highway was closed for about one hour for investigation and cleanup.
