Belleville police responded to 80 calls for service between 5 a.m. on November 8, 2021 and 5:00 a.m. on November 9, 2021.
Motor Vehicle Collision
On November 8, 2021 at 5:15 p.m., officers attended at the intersection of College Street and North Front Street regarding a motor vehicle collision. Paramedics attended the area. No injuries were reported but both vehicles were not driveable. As a result of the investigation a 28-year-old Belleville resident was charged with making a turn not in safety.
Domestic Breach
On November 7, 2021, a 50-year-old Belleville resident was charged with domestic assault and released on an undertaking with conditions including not to communicate with his partner. On November 8, 2021 Belleville police received information that the male had communicated with his partner shortly after his release. The male was located and arrested at 1 p.m. Further investigation resulted in three additional counts of domestic assault, one count of uttering threats, one count of failing to comply with an undertaking and three counts of unsafe storage of a firearm. The male is being held for a bail hearing on November 9, 2021.
