The Trenton Golden Hawks’ spectacular nine-game winning streak to open their 2021-22 OJHL season has come to an end.
The Golden Hawks fell 4-1 Tuesday to the Toronto Jr. Canadiens at the OJHL Governor’s Showcase in Cobourg, their first loss of the regular season.
Dalton Bancroft scored the G-Hawks’ only goal on the power play almost 14 minutes into the third period.
Trenton outshot Toronto 42-33.
Trenton’s next game at the Governor’s Showcase is Wednesday versus St. Michaels at 1:30 p.m.
The Wellington Dukes, who beat the Toronto Patriots in their first game of the showcase, take on the Jr. Canadiens tomorrow at noon.
