Belleville police responded to 55 calls for service between October 16, 2021 at 5 a.m. and October 17, 2021 at 5 a.m.
Neighbour Dispute
On October 17, 2021 at 10:39 p.m. police attended on Scenic Drive in regards to a neighbour dispute. One person was driving their vehicle on Scenic Drive when another person jumped in front of the vehicle and slammed their hand on the hood. He accused the driver of speeding on the road and the dispute escalated. When police arrived both parties were separated and sent away. There was no damage to the vehicle or any injuries.
Intoxicated Person
On October 16, 2021 at 6:05 p.m. police received a call about a person attempting to buy alcohol at an east end location. When the person was refused service, he went outside and began asking other people who were going into the store to buy him alcohol. When police arrived the person was gone. The male had left and was described as staggering away and unsteady on their feet. Police checked the area but the person was not located.
