The Campbellford Rebels were up against the Amherstview Jets in Saturday night PJHL action.
The Jets took an early lead with a goal off a faceoff just five minutes into the first.
Campbellford was quick to answer as they capitalized on a Jets tripping penalty with a power play goal from Dennis Fisher.
Just two minutes into the second period the Rebels took a 2-1 lead when Josh Sainthill scored.
The second period included three penalty kills for the Rebels and an ejection for a Jets player but with under two minutes left in the frame Amherstview tied the game at two goals apiece.
Seven minutes into the third the Rebels retook the lead with an Ethan Salter goal but the Jets stormed back to retake the lead with two goals in four minutes.
Campbellfordās Sainthill managed another goal on the game to knot it at four but that would prove to be it offensively for the Rebels.
Amherstview took a 5-4 lead with just 1:14 left in the game and sealed it with an empty net goal with 2.9 seconds remaining.
