Thirty of Quinte Health Care’s 2,400 staff and physicians have chosen not to get vaccinated and are no longer with the organization.
The hospital corporation reported, as of late Friday afternoon, 99% of team members have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Those who did not get vaccinated include individuals from across various departments at all four hospitals, and include non-clinical and clinical roles.
Quinte Health Care set an October 31 deadline for full vaccination.
Prior to implementing the vaccine mandate, 90% of staff and physicians were already fully vaccinated.
In the release issued Friday, Susan Rowe, Vice President, People & Strategy said QHC is thankful for the many contributions the departing team members have made during their time at QHC and wished them well.
She also said they are grateful for their dedicated staff, physicians and volunteers, and for the ongoing support of the communities they serve.
