Quinte West OPP laid charges against one individual following a traffic stop related to a drug investigation in Trenton Tuesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of patrol officers, conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle on RCAF Road near Bain Park.
The driver was arrested, and following a search of the vehicle a quantity of suspected cocaine was seized along with liquid GHB, drug paraphernalia and Canadian currency.
Twenty-two-year-old Ajay Boparai of Milton is charged with Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.
The accused is scheduled to appear in a Belleville court on November 22.
