Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting four new cases of COVID-19 locally Wednesday as well as two recoveries bringing the active total up to 28.
Two of the new cases are located on Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory where there are now six active.
The other two new cases are in Quinte West and all four of the new cases are in unvaccinated people.
There are currently three people being treated in hospital with the virus, two of whom are in the ICU.
To date 131,570, or 88%, of HPE residents over 12 have had at least one dose of a COVID vaccine while 120.284, or 80%, are fully vaccinated.
The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit is reporting five new cases of COVID-19 in Northumberland County for a total of eight active.
