The City of Belleville would like to advise residents that beginning tomorrow, traffic at the intersection of Herchimer Avenue and Dundas Street East will be shifted to allow for the installation of a watermain.
All traffic on Dundas Street will be moved into the westbound lanes for approximately three weeks, and subsequently into the eastbound lanes for a similar duration while this work is completed.
During this time, Herchimer Avenue will be closed from Dundas Street East southerly. A detour will be put in place utilizing Foster Avenue and Keegan Parkway.
A minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times on Dundas Street during construction from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Access to local entrances will also be maintained at all times.
