Eleven people are facing charges following a three month investigation by Project Renewal that resulted in the seizure of drugs and cash including cocaine and crack cocaine.
In July, police began an investigation into the trafficking and sale of controlled substances in Belleville.
On Thursday, officers with Project Renewal and several other units executed search warrants at four Belleville residences and on two vehicles.
Police seized 457 grams of suspected cocaine, 10.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine, a small amount of methamphetamine and more than $16,000 in cash.
Nineteen people were arrested but only 11 were charged.
Persons charged:
Korey Alleyne (31 years old) of Toronto, Ontario:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000
Alleyne was held for bail.
Devon Johnson-Garcia (28 years old) of Brampton, Ontario:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000
Johnson-Garcia was held for bail.
Gairy-Ann Brown (28 years old) of Belleville, Ontario:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000
Brown was released on a Form 10 undertaking with a court date of November 8, 2021.
Katie Skinkle (26 years old) of Belleville, Ontario:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine
- Outstanding warrants
Skinkle was held for bail.
Alisha Maille (31 years old) of Belleville, Ontario:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine
- Outstanding warrants
Maille was held for bail.
David Miller (53 years old) of Belleville, Ontario:
- Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance – Cocaine
