Prince Edward County is seeking public input for its proposed water and wastewater rate scenarios.
The County’s current rates are set to expire at the end of 2021 with the next term set to cover 2022 – 2026.
A water and wastewater rate study includes four rate scenarios, including a range of rate increases, financing models for infrastructure investments and options for tying rates to seasonal consumption.
Residents and ratepayers are encouraged to head to the County’s Have Your Say website to review the background information.
A survey will then be available on the Have Your Say site from October 6 – 17.
The survey can also be completed in person at various locations.
And, there will be a virtual town hall on Wednesday October 6 at 7 p.m. on The County’s YouTube channel.
To submit a question to be answered during the town hall, email communications@pecounty.on.ca.
Council will consider the proposed rate scenarios at its November 10 meeting.
