Brighton’s Planning Committee will be dealing with a large proposed housing development near Presquile Provincial Park at its meeting Monday.
An unknown developer has approached the Municipality of Brighton with a plan for 84 townhouses of various sizes at 214 Ontario Street, previously the site of now closed greenhouses.
Staff is recommending a public consultation process, including a virtual open house and an on-site community meeting, before official discussions on the development begin and would prefer other forms of housing, such as apartment buildings, as well as the townhouses.
