A former Trenton family physician is returning to the area to set up a practice.
Doctor Stephen Evans is leaving Ottawa where he’s practised for 20 years and will serve patients
in Quinte West and Brighton beginning later this year.
Earlier in his career he practised in Trenton for 10 years.
Dr. Evans is taking over the practices of retiring physicians Dr. Michael Shirriff of Trenton and Dr. Arlene MacIntyre in Brighton.
He will also assume duties at Brighton’s Maplewood Nursing Home.
He will be based at 22 Dundas Street in Brighton and Dr. Shirriff’s patients will automatically be transferred to him, but patients of Dr. McIntyre’s will have to register at 22 Dundas Street from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays to the end of September.
Dr. Evans is the 12th physician recruited by Docs by the Bay since its inception four years ago.
