Provincial Police have laid charges in connection to a serious hit-and-run crash between two off-road vehicles in the Bancroft area last month.
Authorities say a dirt bike and a side-by-side were involved in the wreck at the intersection of Old Bessemer Trail and Bradshaw Road, around 7 p.m. on August 14.
The rider of the dirt bike, a 29-year-old from St. Clair Township sustained life-threatening injuries, but there’s been no update on the injuries.
Investigators have charged 52-year-old Paul Elchesyn of Limerick Township with dangerous driving causing bodily harm, disobeying a stop sign, failing to stop at an accident resulting in injuries, failing to report an accident and riding without a helmet.
He was released with a court date on October 19.
OPP are asking anyone who might have more information on the incident to contact them.
