It continued to be a strong construction season last month in Prince Edward County but the value was a little lower than last year.
There were 108 building permits issued in August with a value of just over $12.2 million. Almost half of the construction value came from permits for 12 new houses.
In August of 2020, 109 permits were issued with a value of close to $15 million.
So far this year the county has issued permits valued at almost $115 million.
