Hastings County has officially put its new gypsy moth infestation tracker up for public use on its website.
The tracker features a participatory mapping feature which pinpoints exact locations of infestations in the region and the level of infestation.
Anyone looking to add an infestation to the map can also do so on the webpage using the reporting tool.
Participation in the mapping is completely voluntary and the data collected through the mapping system will be used in advocacy efforts for assistance with infestations.
