The Belleville Police Service responded to 65 calls for service between 5 a.m. on August 30, 2021 and 5 a.m. on August 31, 2021.
Assault
On August 30, 2021 at 6 p.m., police attended on Pine St in regards to an assault. A number of youths were around an apartment harassing the occupants. When one of the occupants came out to tell them to leave she was assaulted by a female under the age of 18. The young person from Belleville was located and charged with one count of assault. The youth has a court date on October 19. The victim received minor injuries.
Mischief
On August 30, 2021 at 2 p.m., police attended an address on North Front St in regards to mischief. Sometime overnight a suspect had damaged a large sign close to the roadway. There are no suspects. Police are continuing their investigation.
Theft
On August 30, 2021 at 2:51 p.m., police received a report in regards to a theft from a vehicle. The vehicle was parked on Applewood Dr overnight between August 26 and 27. An unknown suspect had gone through the vehicle a stolen a number of CDs. An investigation continues.
