About 20 people were evacuated from downtown Bancroft early Monday afternoon following a reported explosion and fire on Station Street.
Global News reports Bancroft fire crews responded to a fire at an apartment complex across from the Community Futures Development building around 12:30 p.m.
Other media reports suggest witnesses reported hearing an explosion before the fire.
Station Street was closed as firefighters battled the flames.
Bancroft OPP issued a tweet around 3 p.m. stating they were assisting the fire department and that there were no serious injuries.
