Hastings Lennox & Addington MPP Daryl Kramp says he is on the road to recovery after a cancer diagnosis earlier this summer.
Kramp issued a post on Facebook Monday morning thanking people for their support as he deals with a personal health challenge.
He goes on to say he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of sinus cancer which required surgery.
He is still undergoing treatment.
Kramp says, while it has been difficult time, the surgery went well and the prognosis is good.
The MPP continues to meet with his team and though it will take time, he expects a full return to duty.
He also issued a special thank you to the healthcare professionals.
Below is the message posted on MPP Kramp’s Facebook page…
Dear friends,
I hope you have had a good summer. I wanted to reach out to you and say thank-you for your thoughts, prayers and kind words of encouragement while I am working through my personal health challenge.
As some of you know, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of sinus cancer earlier this summer. It has been a difficult time, however I am pleased to say that my surgery went well and while still undergoing treatment, I am on the road to recovery.
Thankfully, the prognosis is good; I am healing ahead of schedule and I expect to be fully back into the swing of things in a timely manner. In the meantime my team and I will continue to meet consistently as we continue to work and advocate on your behalf as your Provincial representative in the Ontario Legislature.
My personal gratitude goes out to our total range of healthcare professionals who have and continue to serve our communities and our province, particularly given the challenges as a result of COVID-19.
Please take care of yourself, your family and community – and again our sincere thank-you.
