Hastings Prince Edward Public Health has declared two beaches unsafe for swimming after the latest round of water sample testing.
For the time being swimming at the Salmon River in the Kingsford Conservation area and Stoco Lake in Tweed park is deemed unsafe.
The health unit tests the water at all designated public beaches in the region for E. Coli weekly to determine if the water is safe for swimming.
When E. Coli levels exceed the provincial standard a warning is issued.
