Construction workers at sites in the Quinte region will have the chance to roll up their sleeves for a COVID-19 vaccination right on site in the coming month.
The Quinte Home Builders’ Association has partnered with Hastings Prince Edward Public Health to bring mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinics to construction sites across the region once a week for the next three to four weeks.
The mobile clinics will be offering both first and second doses and will have Pfizer and Moderna vaccines available.
The vaccinations are open to on-site construction workers, as well as the staff of builders, contractors and sub-trades and is completely voluntary with no registration required.
Beginning on Thursday, August 12, construction workers can line up for first or second doses starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Farnham Road area, 10 a.m. at the Potters Creek subdivision and 11 a.m. at Bayside and finishing in at Settlers Ridge in the afternoon.
Additional locations will be announced for Thursday, August 19 in Quinte West and Thursday, August 26 in Prince Edward County.
