A Centre Hastings Secondary grad did not want to smash a world record this time, she wanted to hold it from the beginning.
Late Monday afternoon, 24-year-old Maxine Olive completed the worlds largest puzzle.

The 51,300 piece Kodak Wonders From Around the World is 29 feet by 6 feet, and she put in the last piece in just under 158 hours.
“Heard of a few people that have finished it. Even when we were streaming we had people hopping on, oh I’ve done that puzzle that’s pretty cool. No one has posted a time. So as far as we know, this is what the record’s set at.”
Olive says the size of the puzzle does not set in as you are assembling it.
“As you’re doing these separate panels, it doesn’t really click in as you’re doing them day in and day out. Then all of a sudden it becomes this massive piece.”

She says she began Friday July 30, averaging about 15 hour days, with a final stretch of 32 hours to complete the puzzle. The assembly was part of the opening of her new store Sweet Escapes on North Front Street, which is for puzzles, board games, candy and more. Anyone who wishes to see the assembled puzzle can go see it until this Friday.
Olive also has the world record for fastest assembly of the 40,000+ piece Ravensburger Disney Memorable Moments puzzle at 150 hours.
Canada’s Got Talent has reached out to Olive to discuss her talents, however where that may go is not known at this time.
