The Ottawa Senators in conjunction with the Belleville Senators announced they have reached an affiliation agreement with the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL.
In essence Atlanta becomes the farm team of the B-Sens.
The partnership has an initial duration of one season.
The Gladiators replace the now defunct Brampton Battalion after they ceased operations during the COVID pandemic.
The Gladiators voluntarily opted out of the 2020 ECHL season due to the pandemic. Previously they had served as the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins.
The Gladiators play their home games at Gas South Arena in Duluth Georgia, 20 miles northeast of Atlanta.
