The journey towards reliable internet services in eastern Ontario received a boost from the federal and provincial governments Friday.
The Ontario Ministry of Infrastructure announced that the two governments will join to provide $362 million in funding for large-scale, fibre-based projects to bring high-speed internet to 90,124 rural Ontario households in eastern Ontario.
The work is expected to be done by 2025.
