Belleville Council will decide on a handful of recommendations from the city’s Transportation Committee when it meets on Monday.
Among them, a call to reissue a request for proposals for various automated traffic enforcement technology including speed and red light cameras, and a school bus stop arm camera program.
The committee is also recommending changes to parking rules in the neighbourhood beside Belleville General Hospital, which would prohibit parking from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, on one side of the street.
Other recommendations for the 2022 capital budget include dropping the speed limit on Farnham Road from 60 km/h to 50 km/h, from the traffic circle to Highway 62 and adding a design for a bike path from Sidney Street to the Moira River Trail.
Council will consider those recommendations and others when it meets Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m., at City Hall.
