The investments are part of a close to $50 million commitment from the province to help organizers of about 439 festivals and events to deliver innovative and safe events within their communities.
The local investment totals about $335,000 to support nine events or festivals in the Quinte Region, including five in Prince Edward County, two in Tweed and one each in Belleville and Trent Hills.
The PEC events include the County FM RadioThon ($4,956) Comedy Country 2021 ($14,225), Ice Box: Art in the Heart of Winter ($23,730), The Six Feet Festival ($27,500) and the Firelight Lantern Festival ($18,755).
