A Bancroft man will do jail time after a structure fire in the fall of 2019.
The fire occurred along Highway 62 in early November and OPP charged Matthew McCormick, 29 at the time of the incident, with arson causing damage to property and arson with disregard for human life.
There were no injuries reported at the time.
Recently in a Belleville courtroom McCormick was sentenced to 10 months in custody, 18 months probation, and handed a 10-year weapons ban. He’d already served 80 days pre-sentence custody.
