Public Intoxication
On July 27, 2021 at 6:29 p.m., police responded to the area of Bridge St. and Sidney St, regarding a male who was wondering into traffic. Officers arrived on scene and located a 31-year-old Belleville resident who was highly intoxicated and passed out in a plaza parking lot. The male was arrested for his own safety and transported to Belleville Police Service where he remained until he was sober.
Arrested on Warrants
On July 27, 2021 at 10 p.m., the Peterborough Police Service contacted Belleville police advising they had a male in custody who was wanted on warrants. A 44-year-old Peterborough resident, Paul Phillips, was arrested on outstanding warrants by Belleville Police for three counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held for a bail hearing on July 28, 2021 at Quinte Consolidated Courthouse.
