Police have made an arrest in an investigation involving someone falsely triggering fire alarms causing two evacuations.
On May 21, police were informed about an apartment complex on Bridge Street West where two fire alarms were pulled causing an alert for all the tenants.
In both cases it was found that there was no fire or threat of fire but that the alarms were pulled intentionally both times.
Police investigated collaboratively with Belleville fire and, on Friday, officially arrested and charged 32-year-old Krystal Leah Vandam of Belleville.
She is charged with two counts of mischief and was released on a conditional undertaking with a court date set for August 19.
