The local unemployment rate is following the national and provincial trends as it went down last month from the previous month.
The unemployment rate for the Belleville Census Metropolitan Area in June was 10.4%, down from 11% in May.
The provincial unemployment rate was 8.4%, down from 9.3% the month before.
And the national unemployment rate in June was 7.8% down from 8.2% in May.
