It appears Prince Edward County council has heard the concerns of people living near a trailer and water park on West Lake.
Residents of Sheba’s Island and Winns Drive have long had complaints about the West Lake Willy Water Park causing noise, parking, and garbage issues.
The water park is right next to the Edgewater Family Camping Resort.
The business owners asked council for permission to continue to operate the water park, a food truck and a children’s day camp at the site for a maximum of one year but Wednesday night county council said no to all three businesses.
County staff had recommended allowing the food truck and camp to continue operating for a year but not the water park.
