UPDATE @ 4:45 p.m.: Power should be back on across Belleville after a significant outage this afternoon.
More than 5,000 Elexicon Energy customers were without power, after the outage that start around 2:15 p.m.
Residents in a stretch between Sidney Street east to the Moira River and north of College Street didn’t seem to be affected by the outage.
Power was partially restored just after 3:00 p.m., with remaining customers back online before 4:45.

UPDATE @ 3:25 p.m.: Elexicon Energy says power was partially restored just after 3:00 p.m., with customers south of Victoria Avenue, east to Farley Avenue still without power.
Others homes east of Farley, from the bay shore up to Highway 401 are also still affected, with an estimated restoration time of 5:00 p.m..

Elexicon Energy is reporting a large power outage across the City of Belleville.
According to Elexicon’s outage map, more than 5,000 customers across the city are affected and crews are on scene try to restore power.
As of 3:00 p.m., the estimated restoration time was set for 4:30 p.m.
It seems that residents living in the area that stretches from Sidney Street, east to the Moria River and north of College Street may not be affected.
